I enjoy making my own pizza and this bamboo rolling pin feels sturdy and has a good weight to it. The handles stay stationary as the pin rolls around it, which works well. It's easy to clean and I appreciate the environmental care which has gone in to this product.

This rolling pin is a substantial tool for your kitchen but it's best feature is its lightness. Its not to heavy to wield, manipulate pastry, dough but it really works perfectly when rolling out. I didn't find pastry overly clingy to the rolling pin with a good dusting of flour and its smooth and slick as it rolls. Pretty perfect for the price.

This is a good, smart-looking, nicely-finished bamboo rolling pin. The rolling pin is supplied in a cardboard box, with no sign of plastic anywhere in the manufacturer packaging. The rolling pin is smoothly contoured, and the hand holds well-shaped. It's well-finished and not splintery at all. The rolling pin has a central, moving roller that's mounted on some kind of a post between the handles. The roller moves very freely and easily, but there's a bit of gapping between the roller and the handles where flour can get stuck and prove very awkward to clean. I'm not too keen on the embossed logo on the roller part itself - this seems like an unnecessary twiddle on a food preparation surface and is less easy to clean than if the roller had been left simply straight-sided.

A hefty, sturdy and high quality rolling pin that matches the rest of the Bambuswald range perfectly, but quite pricey. The rolling pin is made from solid bamboo which looks just as great in your hand as it does in the photos. It includes handles either side which allow the pin to freely roll as you push it back and forth, which is far better than our previous rolling pin which had no handles, but this model is a breeze to use. As with all of the Bambuswald products, it arrives in 100% recyclable packaging with no plastic and the product itself being made from bamboo means that it is far more sustainable than most others available, even those made from wood. This is worth paying a little extra for, particularly as it is obviously made to a very high standard. If my review has been helpful at all, please consider hitting the 'helpful' button below. It is pretty solid and has some good weight behind it, particularly for bamboo, so rolling out dough is effortless. I have cleaned this in the dishwasher on the top rack above some cups to prevent it from being hit by the full force of the water, but naturally with wooden or bamboo products you're always best to wash by hand to prevent the force and heat of the water in a dishwasher from splitting it. Price-wise this is pretty expensive and this is my only gripe. I do think that I would be very unlikely to pay the current £19.99 + £8.48 delivery charge, but would expect it to be available for closer to £15-20 with delivery included.

An interesting design for a rolling pin, one that I've not encountered before. The first thing to note is the length. At 45cm, this did not fit in the cutlery drawer like my existing rolling pin does. As long as you measure up first, you shouldn't be disappointed. Rather than rolling the wood with your hands, you simply hold the handles and the rotating central cylinder does all of the work. It feels weird the first time, like the rolling pin isn't doing anything - which of course it is. It is very lightweight and where I though this might have been a disadvantage with dough, it certainly hasn't proved so. It cleans up well and the handles are comfortable to hold. You don't need to move your hands at all for larger sheets or doughs. If you have an adaptable approach (and the space) this is a good rolling pin, with the benefits if bamboo.

Wunderschönes Nudelholz. Quietscht etwas aber stört mich nicht, denke ist normal. Echt super verarbeitet. Bin immer wieder aufs neue erstaunt wie schön und edel Nachhaltigkeit sein kann.

A good quality rolling pin that’s well made and comes well packaged and well presented It’s a delight to use and comfortable to hold, it rolls with ease and does exactly what it’s supposed to do The price seems to be a little high but that’s bamboo, it’s a good product that’s worth a try

My partner used this rolling pin for the first time at the weekend. She is much more accustomed to using a rolling pin than me as she makes more pastry and dough. She thought this was a little bit lightweight and also that the revolving mechanism was not especially smooth. I offered my usual solution to the slightly sticky feel which Is a quick spray of WD-40! I was, of course, joking. But I have tried drizzling a tiny amount of olive oil into the centre to smooth the operation. I had been looking for a revolving rolling pin for some time so had a reasonable notion of price. I think that there is some very stiff competition for this at the current asking price of around £20.

Ich habe inzwischen einige Produkte von "bambuswald", es sind kleine Lichtpunkte in meiner Küche. Sehr schnelle Lieferung in einer schönen Verpackung aus Pappe - meine absolute Empfehlung!

Sehr schönes Nudelholz, welches sich durch das Bambus aus das es besteht sehr schön benutzen lässt. Es ist leicht und dennoch sehr stabil. Tolle Produkte die bambuswald anbieten!

Love this.I didn’t use rolling pin often and for years had a hand me down from mum a plastic rolling pin you filled with cold water for weight and to keep cool but unfortunately my dogs decided to use it as chew toy so I’d been resort to old fashioned way of using bottle lol.But during lockdown Iv rediscovered my love of cooking and have been making pies and cookies so bottle wasn’t keep up and was delighted to be offered this to test.Its a lovely item.Smooth and so easy to use the middle spins so almost does work for ( according to my daughter most rolling pins made in last 20yrs have this feature ).The bamboo is beautiful you can see all grains and different tones of colour.I have a utensil set from same brand and really do make quality products that fit into any kitchen be it modern or traditional style.Il be bake a lot more.The only negatives I have about this is you are unable to chill so need to work pastry quickly but it’s small point.Beautiful to look at great quality and ease to use all whilst been environmentally friendly .The price is great value for quality.

I have the chopping board to match this rolling pin and together they look great in my kitchen. This was far lighter than I was expecting which is a good thing for me and although I may have preferred it just slightly longer, it works a treat. I recommend hand wash only for this and if you look after it well you should get years of use out of it.

What a lovely rolling pin. Nicely packaged so it will make an ideal present; perhaps for a new home owner. It is made from very smooth wood with a lovely texture. The centre rolls freely with large handles either side to enable you to hold it firmly. Perfect.

I love to bake and use a rolling pin regularly at home. I have out this one through its paces over the last few days and here is what I think: At first I was concerned that this rolling pin was much lighter than my existing standard rolling pin. I thought I might need to exert note manual force to get the results I need and this could result in an uneven rolled surface - I was wrong! The rolling pin worked beautifully on my standard ginger biscuit dough. The bamboo is a lovely tactile material and the rolling pin was a delight to use. Next up decided to use it to roll out some pasta before sending it through my pasta machine. I typically don't dishwash my rolling pins so I just cleaned it down after the first use and it cleaned up well and didn't seem to hold onto any of the previous ginger scent. The pasta rolling was also successful. My only gripe is the price. I have a great Joseph Joseph rolling pin which I love as you can set the thickness you want to roll to on it. This rolling pin is only slightly cheaper and is a very basic (although classic) design.

This rolling pin is excellent, it looks great and it rolls so smoothly! It comes delivered in a nicely presented compact box and measures 43cm wide. I weighed it using my accurate parcel scales and it said the rolling pin was exactly 215g. The quality of it is remarkably high and its finished perfectly. The handles provide you with a good grip and the surface of the rolling pin is so smooth, there are no imperfections to be found. It’s a pleasure to use and when rolling dough, it just glides so effortlessly and provides you with great control. Keeping it clean is also a breeze as everything is so smooth any muck just wipes straight off. Overall, I think this is a great rolling pin and definitely worth the money. The packaging is nice enough to give someone as a present and I think anyone that purchases this item will be very pleased with it. I am happy to recommend this item and I feel its worth the full five stars!

this rolling pin comes in a lovely presentation box hence will do great as a present for a baking lover. Made of bamboo the product is lightweight but solid. It rolls easily. All product is recyclable and plastic free

Arrives boxed, open the box and you have a very well made rolling pin, the quality is excellent. The pin has little weight, easy to use, the handles are a good grip size and it’s easy to bare some weight to the rolling pin. Using it is again excellent,. It rolls perfectly and once used is easy to clean, very pleased with the rolling pin, and an easy one for me to recommend.

Rolling pins are, by their very nature, fairly sleek and stylish in their simplistic shape. But this one, from 'bambuswald' brings it to the next level; with a rolling pin forged from bamboo; making it naturally strong, light and, perhaps most importantly, eco-friendly - though I'm unaware how most normal rolling pins aren't. Regardless, this rolling pin is most definitely on the more expensive end of the pin spectrum, but you do certainly get a high-quality item for your money; crafted well, very smooth, unlikely to splinter, and even featuring a rotating shaft in the center; so the handles aren't stationary and static. This isn't common for most cheaper rolling pins, and so allows another dimension when going over things such as dough. This rolling pin works great for that; smooth, easy action that glides over the dough, and always does so equally. Not much more to say besides that. A truly professional, noteworthy rolling pin. But there are similar ones that are more affordable.

Wir waren sehr überrascht wie leicht das Nudelholz ist, finden dies aber sehr gut, da so auch die Kinder das Nudelholz alleine beim Teigausrollen nutzen können. Insgesamt ist das Nudelholz sehr gut verarbeitet. Den einen Punkt Abzug gibt es, da wir ein Kugellager bevorzugt hätten, funktionieren tut das Nudelholz aber auch so einwandfrei.

Fantastic rolling pin. This rolling pin has a moving middle when you roll, which is so much better that my current wooden one. The rolling pin is lovely and smooth and washes easily. I love the feel of this and it is a pleasure to use, especially being a good length. Highly highly recommended

My wife is the baker in our family and she loves this bamboo rolling pin from ambuswald. Its lightweight, ergonomic and easy to use, with nice long handles at each end. Its smooth surface makes it ideal for rolling out pastry. It only requires a little sprinkle of flour on it to prevent any sticking and it wipes down clean with a damp cloth. Looks rather nice too.
